FAQ
FAQ – Super Queen Cosplay Props & Armor
📏 Ordering & Custom Sizing
Q: How do I measure myself for a custom helmet or prop?
A: For custom-fit helmets, we require three measurements: head circumference (around the widest part, above ears and eyebrows), head length (forehead to back of head), and head width (across the top from ear to ear). A detailed measurement guide is available upon request.
Q: What if my measurements don't match standard sizes?
A: That's exactly why we offer custom sizing. Every piece is made to your specific measurements – not to a generic size chart. Simply provide your measurements at checkout, and we'll craft the piece to fit you perfectly.
Q: Can I order a costume for a child?
A: Yes, we can accommodate custom sizing for younger cosplayers. Please contact us with the character and measurements, and we'll provide a quote.
🛠️ Production & Materials
Q: How long does production take?
A: Production time varies by item:
- Prop weapons & small accessories: 1–2 weeks
- Custom helmets: 4 weeks
-
Full armor sets: 4–6 weeks
-
Complex commissions: 2–3 months (confirmed by quote)
⚠️ Please allow extra time during peak seasons (before major conventions like Halloween or SDCC).
Q: What materials do you use?
A: We use high-detail resin (SLA printing) for helmets and intricate props, and PLA + PETG hybrids for weapons and armor parts. All pieces feature molded-color finish (no painting required) and many include built-in internal skeletons for added durability. We also offer EVA foam options for lightweight, comfortable convention wear.
Q: What's the difference between EVA foam and 3D printed resin?
A: EVA foam – lightweight, flexible, comfortable for all-day wear, and more affordable. Great for large armor pieces. 3D printed resin – sharper details, harder feel, more screen-accurate. Best for helmets, weapons, and mechanical parts. Many customers choose a hybrid approach: foam for body armor, resin for helmets and weapons.
Q: Do you offer rush orders?
A: Yes, rush orders are available when our production schedule allows. Please contact us before placing your order to confirm availability and any additional fees.
🚚 Shipping & Delivery
Q: Do you ship worldwide?
A: Yes, we ship worldwide to the US, Canada, Europe, UK, Australia, and more.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: After production is complete:
-
Expedited shipping: 5–10 business days
Tracking numbers are provided once your order ships.
Q: Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
A: Customs duties are determined by your country's policies and are the buyer's responsibility. We cannot guarantee you won't be charged, as customs checks are random.
Q: What if my package arrives damaged?
A: If your prop arrives damaged, take clear photos of the package and item before handling, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Do not attempt to repair or modify the item before we've had a chance to assess the damage.
🔄 Returns & Exchanges
Q: Can I return or exchange a custom-made item?
A: Custom-made items are non-returnable because they are crafted to your specific measurements. However, if there is a measurement error on our part or damage during shipping, we will work with you on a remake or replacement.
Q: What about standard (non-custom) items?
A: Standard items can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: Order changes or cancellations are available within 24 hours of placing your order. After that, production may have already started, and cancellations may incur a 15–35% material cost fee.
💰 Payment
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and Shop Pay. For custom commissions over a certain value, we also offer split payment options (50% deposit + 50% upon completion).
🎭 Convention & Event Questions
Q: Can I bring your props to a convention?
A: Yes, but we strongly recommend checking the convention's prop policy before you go. Most conventions allow foam and 3D printed props as long as they are:
-
Made of harmless materials (foam, plastic, resin)
-
Not capable of firing projectiles
-
Peace-bonded (tagged as inspected) at the event
Metal weapons, realistic firearms, and functional prop weapons are not permitted at most conventions.
Q: How should I transport my cosplay armor or prop?
A: For large items (armor, helmets, oversized weapons), we recommend using a hard case or padded box. Wrap delicate parts (fins, antennas, thin details) in bubble wrap. For international travel, check your airline's oversized baggage policies in advance.
